Tree Frog Loop (Redmond Watershed Preserve)
We discovered this great little accessible trail east of Redmond last winter while Lucas’s sister was at her horseback riding class nearby. The gorgeous afternoon light certainly helped make it a good experience but the tree-lined trail and the pond lookout perch also made it worthwhile.
Key stats:
Distance: The Tree Frog Loop is only about .5 miles but you can also continue from the far end of the loop onto the flat, gravel Trillium Trail which goes on for a few miles.
Wheelchair accessible parking? Yes, multiple spots near the bathrooms
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms? Yes
Trail condition?
Paved but narrow trail with a few spots that are tough to maneuver in a wheelchair.
Highlights?
As mentioned before, it’s not a very long trail — you can probably do the loop in 15 or 20 minutes if you want. But it’s worth taking your time, especially near the pond where it’s possible to see wildlife. And if we’d had more time we would have cruised further on the Trillium Trail which stretches deeper into the large Redmond Watershed Preserve.
