Snoqualmie Valley Trail

This is great trail, especially the trestle bridge that stretches high over Tokul Creek. Unfortunately, it’s really tough to access in a wheelchair, at least from where we parked near the Tokul Tunnel. You definitely can’t make it down from the road to the trail in a wheelchair (see picture below) We did eventually find a path through the brush that connected to the trail a couple hundred feet south of the Tokul Tunnel.

Another possibility would be to park at the Snoqualmie Valley Trail parking lot near Fall City and then walk back about 2 miles to get to the trestle.

Key stats:

Distance: The whole trail spans over 30 miles. The section we did was about a couple miles round trip.

Wheelchair accessible parking? No

Wheelchair accessible bathrooms? No

Trail condition?  The trail itself is in good condition — hard packed dirt and gravel for most of the way and then concrete over the trestle. It’s also wide and well maintained.

Highlights?  Going over the trestle, and the views that it affords, is the big highlight of this trail. But the lowlights probably outweigh that thrill, in particular the difficult access at Tokul Tunel as well as the fact that much of the trail is near a shooting range so shotgun and rifle blasts frequently interrupt the serenity of your surroundings.
