Lincoln Park Beachfront Trail
One of our favorites to frequent, the Beachfront Trail in Lincoln Park is part of a 5-mile trail system in this glorious West Seattle park. There aren’t many places where you can cruise in a wheelchair along a wide, paved trail as you gaze out at the Puget Sound and watch ferries come and go. Our daughter likes to scamper down to the beach and play while Lucas cruises the trail.
Key stats:
Distance: The trail is about 1 mile long from the accessible parking lot at the bottom of the hill.
Wheelchair accessible parking? Yes. To access the wheelchair accessible spots at the start of the beachfront trail enter the large parking area off Fauntleroy Way near SW Cloverdale St. Drive through the open gateway and down a steep hill to the water where there are four accessible parking spots.
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms? Yes.
Trail condition? Paved, wide trail for the first 1/2 mile. At Colman Pool the trail switches to hard-packed gravel and continues along the water.
Highlights? There are various picnic tables along the way so bring some food, kick back and enjoy the view.
