Evans Creek Trail (Redmond)
We stumbled upon this trail on a chilly Saturday afternoon in January while Lucas’s sister was at horseback riding lessons nearby. We accessed the trail via Perrigo Park, walking around the sports fields the read of the park where you enter the trail. As you can see from the sign pictured below, there are options to go either direction; we followed the longer path towards Union Hill Rd.
Key stats:
Distance: The trail is 1.9 miles long according to the website linked below. We did a section that was about 3/4 of a mile from the park to Union Hill Rd.
Wheelchair accessible parking? Yes, multiple spots in Perrigo Park
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms? Yes (in the park)
Trail condition? 8-10 foot wide paved trail — recently built and still in good condition.
Highlights? As the trail opens up into the grassy wetlands about a quarter mile from the park, it also becomes a raised boardwalk over the shallow water below. Most boardwalks are made out of wood and bumpy so this flat, paved one is a treat.
