Lowell Riverfront Trail (Everett)
We found this trail in the spring of 2020 not long after Covid-19 settled in and many public parks closed down. Therefore parking was tough but it looked like wheelchair accessible spots would usually be available near the Lowell Boat Ramp. You could also park at Lowell Riverfront Park and get on the trail from there.
From the boat ramp we walked up the Riverfront trail about a half mile, most of in along the slow flowing Snohomish river. It was a breath of fresh air on a beautiful, crisp day, and a nice ride for Lucas in his wheelchair.
Key stats:
Distance: The trail is 1.6 miles long though we only covered about 1/2 mile of it.
Wheelchair accessible parking? Maybe
Wheelchair accessible bathrooms? Unknown
Trail condition? 10-foot wide Paved trail, well maintained.
Highlights? Wandering views of the river and the mountains beyond on a clear day. A few nice benches along the river that you can roll right up to. Lots of birds and opportunities to see other wildlife like sea otters and maybe even a sea lion.
